Austin Tousaw is a cybersecurity leader, entrepreneur, and community builder from Syracuse, New York, who now splits his time between New York City and Syracuse. He loves the energy and opportunity that come with New York City, while Syracuse will always be home and the place that shaped his values, relationships, and appreciation for community.

Cybersecurity is Austin’s primary profession. Throughout his career, he has worked at Fidelity Investments, Deloitte, Meta, ASAPP Inc. and McDonald’s Corporation, where he currently works in Global Cyber Security. He enjoys solving complex problems, building strong teams, and helping organizations navigate an increasingly connected world.

Through Tousaw Ventures, Austin pursues opportunities at the intersection of business, technology, and hospitality. What started as a passion project has grown into a platform for building ideas, supporting ventures he believes in, and creating opportunities with great people.

Family has always been at the center of Austin’s life. He serves as COO of Once Upon a Child Syracuse alongside his sister, Courtney Tousaw, Owner and CEO, and brother-in-law, Scott Hobin, CFO. Together, they help lead one of the top-performing locations in the country. For Austin, it’s more than business. It’s about remembering where you came from, building something meaningful with the people you love, and giving back to the Syracuse community that helped shape who you are.

Over the years, Austin has partnered with more than 30 venues across New York City to host events that bring people together. From networking events and watch parties to celebrations of life’s biggest moments, he believes some of the best opportunities come from simply putting good people in the same room.
